The Arc of Indian Philosophy, Part I

  • The Catalyst 264 West Marine Drive Astoria, Oregon, 97103 United States (map)

We begin The Arc of Indian Philosophy, Part I by asking how classical Indian philosophy approaches the work of philosophy itself.

This introductory session considers some of its central aims, methods, assumptions, and historical settings. It also prepares us to encounter these traditions comparatively, noticing both genuine similarities and important differences between Indian thought and philosophical traditions elsewhere.

(The Saturday session follows the same lesson as Wednesday)
