The Arc of Indian Philosophy, Part I

  • The Catalyst 264 West Marine Drive Astoria, Oregon, 97103 United States (map)

This session turns toward Nyāya and Vaiśeṣika, traditions known for careful work in logic, knowledge, classification, and natural philosophy.

How do we know something is true? What kinds of things exist? Can reality be analyzed into basic categories or components? We’ll consider Indian approaches to questions considered across philosophical traditions.
