Pop Quiz! Plato and Pizza
Saturday, June 6 · 6pm · Elks Lodge, Astoria
Gather a team of six, or come on your own and join one. Pop Quiz! Plato and Pizza is a trivia night and fundraiser for Philosofarian, built for curious people, good company, and the occasional inspired guess. No philosophy background required, but you’ll definitely get exposed to the examined life (Plato insists)!
This is a friend-raiser as much as a fundraiser. We want to introduce Philosofarian to our community and invite everyone into the lively conversations, classes, and gatherings we host year-round in Clatsop County.
Tickets available at the door $30
Pop Quiz! Plato and Pizza is a trivia night with a Philosofarian twist. Teams will compete across four rounds for prizes, bragging rights, the Cambium Champion Cup, and the satisfaction of knowing their table rose to the occasion.
The evening is designed to be fun first. Expect pizza, drinks, optional costumes, a few philosophy-flavored surprises, and a room full of people willing to think out loud together.
Some of the questions test your local, film or forest knowledge, while others lean into watersheds and wellness, and of course you’ll get a little dose of Plato and ancient wisdom traditions sprinkled in along the way.
If you already know Philosofarian, this is a new way to gather with us. If you’ve heard of us but haven’t made it to a program yet, this is an easy way in. Also, Philosofarian prides itself on intergenerational connection. Kids under the age of 18 get in free - as long as they’re accompanied by an adult.
