What makes ideas stick?
What makes ideas stick?
Some ideas pass through our heads and vanish. Others move in, rearrange the furniture, and stay for decades.
Why?
Does an idea become memorable because it is true, useful, strange, beautiful, repeated often enough, attached to a good story, or connected to something we already believe? How much control do we have over which ideas take hold?
And once an idea has stuck, what makes it difficult to dislodge?
This project is funded in part by Oregon Humanities with support from Meyer Memorial Trust.
A note about Saturday Scoundrels: Saturday gatherings are alcohol-free. Coffee, tea, and light brunch bites are available. Shout out to Cambium Gallery for providing the caffeination!
